First impressions of Dynamics CRM 2011 are very good. The CRM 2011 team have clearly focused on the front end look ‘n feel and MS Outlook in particular.

From a data point of view here are a few points to note:

  • Global picklists (about time!)
  • WCF service
  • Transactions
  • Assign to teams
  • Fetch XML is becoming more important in the CRM offering

Now the environment is up and running, we are starting to build a set of SSIS components that will allow enterprises to import and integrate with Dynamics CRM
